History

Quackers Preschool has taught hundreds of children the fundamentals of early learning. Ellen Elliot the founder, owner, and director, started Quackers Preschool 15 years ago.  Her vision and direction has made Quackers a unique experience for parents and children alike.  Over 20 years ago, Ellen, decided to enter the early childhood education field. Ellen worked in a local Scituate nursery school, where her two children attended. She enjoyed this experience and decided to enter the early childhood field. She decided to open her own preschool , Quackers. Having her own preschool gave Ellen the opportunity to develop a unique and comprehensive curriculum that was both motivational and fun. Her goal was to make sure all of her students enjoyed coming to Quackers. A young child's first learning experience should be fun. Quakers offers a smooth transition from your home to preschool. Our safe neighborhood setting with lots of green grass presents a warm and familiar environment for our students. Children work with experienced and dedicated staff provide a safe and loving environment for our preschoolers. We emphasize the fundamentals of learning to make sure our students are well prepared to enter Kindergarten. A happy preschooler makes an enthusiastic Kindergartener.

Our Philosophy

The purpose of Quackers Preschool and Child Care is to provide children a smooth transition between your loving home and Kindergarten. Quackers's neighborhood setting helps to have children feel more comfortable when experiencing their first separation from home and Mom and Dad. A pleasant experience in preschool promotes a fun filled learning expereince. Quackers respects the feelings of each child. Our program helps each child respect the feelings of his or her peers. This is the first step towards good social behavior and making friends.

We realize that our children are only beginning on the long road of learning.  Through lots of supervised play and learning new skills. They begin to understand the rewards of pro-social behavior and learning...feeling good about themselves develops high self esteem. We emphasize lots of positive reinforcement for our children. We strive to develop our students to become confident and fun loving Kindergarteners. Quackers takes pride in each and every child while preparing them for their Kindergarten experience. We are very proud of our graduates and thier future success.
